Harvest Night Benefit
Friday, October 2 · 84 Ranch, Pagosa Springs
One evening, two halves, and a purpose. It begins in the pasture with a harvest done the old way. What follows is a gathering of community around one long table — supper, music, and a night of fundraising that puts young farmers and ranchers on ground of their own.

Gates Open · The Weekend Begins
The ranch opens its gates, and the journey of our overnight camping guests begins.
3:30 PM
To Kill a Pig Nicely
It is our responsibility to ensure this is also a fulfillment of the pig's nature by harvesting artfully. We kill without pain and endeavor to receive all the pig has to give. This requires traditional methods of retaining the skin and fat and offal. The killing is the beginning of every recipe and the most decisive ingredient in any preparation. It is our duty and delight to guide the pig to this noble sacrifice.

The Bidding Tables Open
Silent auction and raffle open, the bar with them. Beside them an artist takes her place and begins a canvas she will paint blind through the whole evening — its face turned from the room until the moment it isn't.
5:00 PM
Reception & Supper
Farm-to-table bites of 84 Ranch pasture-raised pork, passed through the crowd as the music rises. A true dining and gathering experience in the heart of the ranch.
5:30 – 7:30 PM
The Benefit Program
The heart of the evening and the reason for it — two hours that fund the next generation of farmers and ranchers, with live music woven through from the same stage, start to finish.

6:10Live auction — live animalsHogs brought before the crowd one at a time — true pasture-raised pork, premium meat the way it was meant to be raised. Plus a year's sponsorship of a ranch animal that will carry your family's name.
6:50Live auction — experiencesRanch stays, private dinners at the barn, and days spent working this land alongside us.
7:20The grand finaleThe painting — worked blind since the gates opened — turns right-side up for the first time and goes to the floor as the final lot. Then the raffle is drawn, and the evening's number is read aloud to the room that made it.

Last Call at the Tables
Silent bidding closes and the raffle drum fills. Winners are named later, from the stage.
7:30 – 9:00 PM
Concert & Bonfire
The fires take, the band opens up, and the night belongs to everyone. Dessert, a last drink, and nothing left to ask of you.
9:00 PM
The Night Closes
The music fades and the fires burn low. Camping guests stay on under the stars.

Day Two
Saturday throws the whole ranch open.
Regenerative living, wellness, whole-animal craft, livestock, pig races, a tethered balloon over the valley and music until the fires burn low.
