Butcher Boxes & Pork Shares
At 84 Ranch, we want you to have the option to see who raises your food, and how. We never got comfortable feeding our family chemical residues & GMO grains masked behind "all-natural" labels...and you shouldn't have to, either.
Each hog on 84 Ranch is known, cared for, and respected; never confined or neglected. Because our pigs lead stress-free lives, the result is tender, marbled pork with unmatched flavor that simply cannot be found at the supermarket. Your body feels lighter, stronger, and genuinely nourished by an animal that lived well & grazed on sunny pastures, as nature intended.
Choosing your food from 84 Ranch means honoring the lives that feed you, and fueling a family dream without padding corporate margins. Your dollars go toward the ethical care of land, animals, and generational skills; making you part of a story & mission worth feeling good about.

100% Rocky Mountain pasture-raised Pork from our 42-acre Family Ranch in Southern Colorado. Our goal is growing the highest quality, nutrient-dense "clean food" possible. A choice that is safest and healthiest for our families & the environment we thrive in.
Our heritage hogs are a bred specifically for the climate in our valley of the Rockies and are raised in small batches, allowing for rotational processing which is handled right on our ranch
Happy Hogs
Our pigs start in a fenced pasture pen for about 4 weeks to teach them to respect the fencing then move them to pasture grazing to forage on a supplemental custom blend of grasses, brassicas and legumes which provide them with the nutrients needed for a healthy lifestyle.
No corn and no soy grain mix, as well as any extra raw milk from our dairy herd; and surplus garden vegetables from our homestead garden. To keep them healthy, we also include raw apple cider vinegar in their water, which aids their digestive system, keeps them free of parasites, and is a natural insect repellent.
We practice rotational grazing by moving the hogs to fresh pasture every 1-2 weeks. Portable shelters are provided to snuggle up on cool nights or to escape the sun on warm days when they are not resting in the cool pasture ponds
